I want to eat my baby!

Okay, maybe not eat the baby. But this has to be my favorite baby-fruit comparison so far! It just so happens though that at 34 weeks, it's now about the size of a cantaloupe... one of my favorite melons! Mom knows exactly how nuts I am over cantaloupe! It's a summer staple in her house and when it didn't all get eaten at dinner, she'd say "come on finish up the cantaloupe." So, Brent and I would see how many pieces we could fit in our mouths... kind of a "chubby bunny" contest. Let's just hope it doesn't get to watermellon size. Then I'm really in trouble.

Went to the doctor this week and asked whether I should be concerned that I'm losing weight and am so small. She said "no" because the baby is still measuring right on track... 34-35 weeks. Plus she said it's not uncommon for the belly to look smaller in the first pregnancy since everything is stretching for the first time. Whew!

I also switch to seeing the doctor every week now. However, since my OB is due two days after me and took off the week "we" are due, I will begin seeing another doctor to get to know her... just in case.

Got to see all of our family last weekend for baby showers in the Cities. Had tons of fun! Thanks to everyone for coming! So we'll leave you with an updated photo of the "Three pregnant cousins."
