Busy Day!

It never fails... You set up a doctor's appointment and by the time you get there, the ailment is better or improving. But it was still a good thing that Alexis woke up this morning with only a slight fever (99 degrees) and her cradle cap looks like it's finally improving. Still, the doctor had some concerns and gave us some help.

Her cradle cap: The doctor's giving us an oral antibiotic to help with the inflamation, which could be infected a little. She also contacted a dermatologist who recommended putting mineral oil on her head at night before she goes to bed and rinsing it off in the morning to get the flakes off. Hopefully that will help.

Her exema: The doctor is concerned it has something to do with something I'm giving her through the breast milk. So she's taking her off the breast milk & put her on a special formula (which I hear, expensive... Thank goodness for samples!) for 3 days to see if there's any improvement. If it doesn't we're also getting another topical steroid cream to help out.

Fever: She was also concerned that she had a fever of 102 and is only 3 months old. So they did some blood work to make sure her white blood count was okay, which it was.

We'll go back in on Friday for a follow up.

As for my gallbladder.... The surgeon couldn't get me in today so I'm going in tomorrow morning at 8:00. More to come!

And Honda's doing well. She doesn't like the cone around her neck AT ALL... She kept knocking into things... but she won't quit licking her staples. So she'll just have to deal with it!
