Everything went as planned during surgery yesterday... except for waking up with an eye infection.
The doctor said he found 5-6 marble sized stones and many more pellet sized stones in my gallbladder. They used five incisions in my abdomen, including one in my belly button, to take it out.
Now I'm on some pretty good pain meds and am just lounging this weekend as everything gets better. I'm not allowed to take a shower until tomorrow though because instead of stitches... they use glue to close the incisions. Pretty cool! Plus, I think even water hitting my torso might be a little painful at this point.
Alexis' head is looking much better... it isn't as red and she's getting her "baby face" back. But her skin isn't improving much otherwise. She's not tolerating her antibiotic real well so she's thrown up several times over the past 24 hours. I called Healthformation and talked to a nurse who said to feed her less milk more often. So far that's worked! We're just watching now to make sure she doesn't get dehydrated.
Give it a couple days and, hopefuly, our lives will be back to some sort of normalcy!!!
