I appologize for the lack of updates, but things haven't been the easiest with the Little Girl lately.
She's on another round of medications for her second ear infection and second case of pneumonia. It seems we've been to the doctor at least once a week for the past two months... Okay, we basically have been to the doctor every week... She knows us really well now!
We got into the dermatologist on the 27th. She put Alexis on an antibiotic, 3 skin creams, an anti-itch medication, special bar shampoo, oatmeal bath soaks and certain lotions for everything from her cradle cap to exzema and the skin infection on her face. Between those and her new meds for the pneumonia, we had to make a chart to keep them all straight.
She still has a really bad cough and has been throwing up some mucus when it gets bad, but you wouldn't believe her demeanor. She's the happiest sick little girl I've ever seen. She's all smiles, giggles and stays in the best mood until she's ready to eat.
I'm guessing her illnesses, food allergies and whatnot is what's impacting her growth because she's still a little peanut! At her last checkup, she was just 12lbs. 11 oz. So she still hasn't doubled her birthweight. We're still in #1 diapers (new moms: that gives you an idea just how small she is) and she fits best in 3 month clothes even though she'll be six months in two weeks. She can wear some 3-6 month clothes but she tends to swim in them!
That's it for now. We got a new Flip Cam, so I have to figure out how to get those videos on the site for you!
