On The Market

Our house is listed! (Click here) It's hard to believe we've been back in Sioux Falls for long enough now that we're ready to move on to our next home. I feel like we just got here, but in reality, we've been back for more than 5 years already! Just off the top of my head I can think of so much thats's changed... We've gone from 1 dog to 2 dogs to 0 dogs. :o( Have had 6 different cars parked in the garage Have re-painted the entire upstairs twice Of course now have a 1-year old & baby on the way I've lost track of my different hair lengths And we now have twice the house we had when we moved in... However with a 2nd baby on the way, that still just isn't enough room. We decided we would like three bedrooms on the main level and have found it very difficult to find that in a multi-level (the layout we prefer) within our price range. So we're going to make our dream come true by having it built for us. But in order to make sure we don't get ...

Meet Baby #2

Got to do our 20 week ultrasound at 18 weeks 6 days. Baby is about 9 ounces right now. We opted to not find out the sex but baby's heart rate is a little slower than Alexis' was. They aren't the best scans since the baby is a little earlier than when we had Alexis' done. My doctor also had the specialist take a look at things because I have gestational diabetes again and because of heart defects that run in my family. The heart looks good but the doctor scheduled another ultrasound in 10 weeks to do a size scan. Since I've had GD twice now, the baby could be bigger the second time around (we'll see about that!). He also wants me to do a more extensive round of testing 3 months after deliver to check me for non-gestational diabetes. Oh, I've been feeling just fine, no different than the first time around. Piece of cake.

All Better!

Alexis' surgery went very well. We showed up at the hospital at 8am and after getting all her all check in with the nurses, insurance and doctors, she headed back to the operating room with the nurses. We put her in a little red wagon and they wheeled her down the hall way.. she didn't make a peep! We were very impressed. Anna had warned me to go get cookies right away because they disappear fast. So, I dried my tears and headed for cookies & coffee. By the time I got back to the room, Bill said the nurse had already been back to tell us she was already sleeping and still hadn't fussed. We figure she was so used to her neb. treatments that she probably didn't think twice about taking in the oxygen & gas. Fifteen minutes later, the doctor came back to tell us it had all gone smoothly and another 15 minutes later, two nurses brought her back to us... lungs & all! She was pretty worked up, extremely tired and took about half an hour to calm down and get to slee...
