Zoo Boo [Halloween Dress Rehearsal]

Introducing the Grinch and Princess Rapunzel!  The Great Plains Zoo’s Zoo Boo is great!  We get to walk around the zoo to see the animals while getting another use out of the costumes.  I put in some extra work to pull Noah’s together.  Yep! I made the Santa jacket.  It’s really a boy’s t-shirt with some white fleece for trim and a black ribbon for the belt.  I died a pair of thick tights and actually found green stretchy gloves.  I found he hat for our quick visit to the zoo but for Halloween, he’s getting green hair and green face paint!

I heard afterward that Saturday was CRAZY at the Zoo Boo and that the weather wasn’t that great.  Lines were much shorter Sunday and we breezed through in less than an hour.

Then it was off to Rebekah’s church where they had a costume carnival night for youth group kids.  She invited all the day care families to stop by and we had time, so it worked great!  They had great games set up in different rooms for the kids to play.  Alexis is sifting through rice looking for items blindfolded below.

Noah got to try bowling… every strike got a treat!

And this might have been the coolest idea… They had scaffolding set up with platforms to help kids climb up to the top.  The board then had pegs in it and the kids got a CD to drop down for PLINKO!  The numbers on the floor where the CD landed determined how many pieces of candy they got!  GREAT huh?
