The day after the Twins/Cubs game, we got to go to the wedding for my cousin, Sabrina. It was a nice service. I missed a bit of it when I had to take Noah outside to let him burn off some energy, but we made it back in time for the “I do” part.
This is my Mom’s aunt Delores. She’s my grandfather’s sister – they are two of 12 children in that family. We LOVE spending time with her. She’s witty and enjoys teasing the kids and adults alike.
We were able to get all the siblings together with Busha & Dzia Dzia for a picture that doesn’t get taken very often. Doesn’t everyone look so GREAT!
We had a bit of a walk from the parking lot we chose to the reception hall, which was on a college campus and found this little guy. I swear the squirrels in the cities are like stray dogs. I thought Dzia Dzia’s squirrels were the only ones who walk up to you looking for nuts, but this guy did the same thing. I thought he was going to bite off Bill’s toe if we didn’t give him something. We didn’t have anything – except Noah, of course and he just watched in amazement. (Bill’s toes survived)
Sabrina and her dad (picture above on the right) did the father-daughter dance to a Polka. Great idea for our family! And I got a great shot of Ken with his daughter airborne. She really knew how to cut a rug!
My cousin, Jeff, is still in Afghanistan with the military. His wife, Kumiko, was one of the bridesmaids in the wedding. She had fun playing with the kids and actually got Noah on the dance floor for a song. They took turns rolling glow bracelets across the floor… I guess that counts.
Aunt Janet and Gary plan to get married this fall. They accidentally coordinated their outfits for the day so I took a couple pictures of them outside as a pseudo engagement photo. (The ended up using one on their wedding invitations!)
And by the end of the night, everyone was on the dance floor. Busha, Dzia Dzia and Alexis got a dance in and Noah found the flower girl’s shoes. You know what that means! LOVE how he’s holding up his shorts for some reason!
