Isn’t he just too precious?! So, I’m biased and looks can be deceiving. This kid would be more appropriately dressed as the Goblin lately! HA
Here’s the crew just before we took on my brother’s neighborhood together. The weather cooperated really well – no jackets necessary. That’s REALLY amazing for South Dakota since we have to be prepared to put costumes over snow suits some years.
Isn’t the little Claire Bug just too cute! That’s Tristan as Spiderman with Spiderman Noah and Snow White Alexis.
Noah did his best to keep up with the older kids. At one point, he took off running and tripped over a chunk of sidewalk which sent him crashing to the ground. His candy spilled EVERYWHERE! Thank goodness for flashlight apps on our cell phones! We didn’t leave a piece behind!
After the candy scramble, Bill propped Noah up on his shoulders for those long stretches between houses. It was up to Noah to keep the bucket out of Bill’s face. Grandma Rose met up with us again and walked with the group!
Claire was waiting for us back at the house with Uncle Christopher. It was getting late but she was happy to see Dzia Dzia!
Back at our house, Bill went through the kids’ buckets to pull out the things they couldn’t have. I’ll admit used to laugh when school would remind us to have a parent look through through the candy for anything dangerous as if we were going to get a razor blade handed to us.
Now look at us. We inspect every piece, but for a much different reason. I have to pull out everything with any nuts or traces of nuts and anything in Alexis’ bucket that has diary. I would have never predicted that certain foods would be so dangerous to my kids. This year, ‘Mom & Dad’s stash” was fairly small. I think the kids have learned what not to pick when they’re give the choice.
