Zoo Boo!

We took Snow White and Spiderman to Zoo Boo this year! It was just a bit on the chilly side but the sweatshirt under Noah’s costumer just gave him some extra muscles. 

Tristan and Claire came with to fill their buckets with candy too.  Like how we got Claire in the photo? 

The reindeer looked great but the next guy was the real attraction for Noah.  He was the happiest guy at the zoo when he saw Iron Man.  He just stood there, staring with a HUGE grin on his face.  It didn’t take any coaxing to get him to get his picture taken with him!

And even after he had his photo taken, which I had to pull him away from so other kids could get their turn, he stood there in awe, watching, amazed.

(I found out later that the costumed characters at the event all make their own costumes and do the appearances for donations to the charity of their choice.  SO AWESOME!  The Iron Man character is actually from Minneapolis.)

Then we got to pet and feed the animals… my favorite part!  Alexis… not so much.

         
We used the carousel house as an opportunity to warm up just a little bit.  And before long, we ran into the rest of the characters.  Alexis may be another year older but she still wanted nothing to do with these guys.  Noah was all for it!

We wrapped things up with a quick pic with a Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Department deputy.  The night was successful in that we didn’t have any kids scram at the characters (Alexis was much more receptive of Spongebob Squarepants this year!) and the weather held up very well. Not a bad dress rehearsal for Halloween!
