If you ever wondered what kids would do with the crinkle paper filler in boxes or packages if they were left alone, let me enlighten you:
Two minutes was all I was gone. They were good sports though and cleaned it up all by themselves. Dad and Maria had sent an Easter package for the kids and had used it as filler. Thanks to them for the goodies inside!
On Easter morning, we got home from church and went hunting for the rabbit’s baskets. Alexis found hers in the cabinet with all the coloring books – her favorite stuff to play with!
Noah’s was tucked behind the couch – his favorite spot to hide in the house.
They tore apart their baskets to check out their goodies, which included a pair of shoes, swimming suits, and a few sweets. Then since they were dressed so nicely, we tried to get a photo. This was the first attempt:
And after about 40 clicks, they finally gave me some nice smiles.
Then it was off to lunch with the Leesch’s at Perkins. Rose had to work so she took her break and came to see us.
And later that afternoon, the Thesenvitz clan came over to our house for dinner and an egg hunt. We had hoped to hold the hunt outside, but it was too cold. So while the kids played up in the bedrooms, the adults hid the eggs – and LOTS of them!
Claire found the easy ones and the parents had to help the little ones get up high.
We actually forgot to count how many we hid to make sure we found them all, but we did a pretty good job. I think there were only 2 or 3 that were found in the weeks later – thank goodness they were plastic eggs filled with candy and not hard-boiled!
