Visiting Honda

We got some sad news that Honda, our old puppy, was being housed at the Humane Society.

Long story short, the family we gave her to had to find her another home.  The farmers who took her were not responsible enough to keep her around.  She ran away, seven miles, to Brookings County where Animal Control found her.  The farmers refused to pay to get her released so the Brookings County Humane Society sent her to the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society. 

When I found this out, I had to go visit her. 

I took her for a walk over one of my lunch breaks and the saddest part was she didn’t even remember me.  Either that, or she did remember me and was so mad that she didn’t want to pay attention to me.

She is a big, strong girl!  I had to hold on REALLY tight or I was going to lose her when she spotted a gopher and wanted to go after it.  I wish we could take her back but can’t.  I just hope she finds a new family soon.
