Four years ago I laid eyes on a little boy who would change my life for ever and thought to myself, “my little man.” I can remember exact the moment and I treasure it.
Now when I look lovingly at my little man, he returns with, “ROAR!”
So he decided he wanted a dinosaur birthday party!
He also wanted to be a dinosaur for Halloween, so for party favors for the little kids, I made dinosaur hoodies (photo coming up). And sometime in October, I’ll make him a dinosaur tail to match.
We had dinosaur activities including coloring pages and dinosaur bones puzzles (which turned out to be much more difficult than I was anticipating)
People were greeted by dinosaur tracks up the sidewalk and we had a full menu of dino treats inside… Sloppy Stegosaurus, T-Rex twists, Velicoraptor Veggies, Dinosaur eggs, Brontosaurus bones, and Caveman dip.
Then it was time to open presents where the dinosaur theme continued!
A dino puzzle! YAY!!! A stuffed dino! YAY!!!
A dino book! YAY!!! He got lots others too!!!
HyVee did such a great job with the cake. I told the the colors I wanted, gave them the dinosaur to put on top and they delivered a cake with a VOLCANO spewing LAVA out the top! AMAZING work!
Dinosaur Claire is ready to go outside! Turns out it was a perfect day for the hoodies too! The kids needed just a little something while running off the sugar they just ate.
AHHHH! There’s a pink dinosaur roaming in my yard! And the adults are playing with the dino toys!!!
Henry was a tuckered little guy. Claire got adventurous on the jungle gym, though, and tried out the ladder.
And was SUPER cute when she got to the top!
Here’s that shot I promised… all five dinosaurs ready to ROAR!
Happy Fourth Birthday to my little man. I hope your special day was one to remember.
